Episode 018: PCOS Awareness: Holly's Story

 Hey - Holly here!

September is PCOS Awareness Month, & I want to use this platform to share my story. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2015 when I was 24 years old & my life has never been the same. I'm basically a textbook definition of this endocrine disorder: I've had to deal with substantial weight gain, unwanted hair growth, anxiety, depression, manic episodes, inflammation, insulin resistance & the absence of periods. I may never be able to have children - I am working on making peace with this, but I'm also staying hopeful.

You can read all of my blog posts about my diagnosis & navigating life with PCOS here!

I hope that, through sharing my story, other PCOS warriors can find comfort in the fact that they're not alone. Because you're not alone - & your feelings are validated. You matter. You're amazing and you're worth the fight. Don't you forget it!

I am hosting an Instagram challenge for the planner community. Decorate any spread during the month of September the color teal (the color of the PCOS awareness ribbon), post it to Instagram and use the hashtag #PCOSPlannerChallenge2022. Be sure to tag me, too! I look forward to seeing all those teal planner spreads.

You can listen to this episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you stream your podcasts. Thanks for taking the time to listen. Appreciate you!
